Update from carer:
“Sammy, a once very anxious dog, has made incredible progress under the care of his foster parents and the guidance of experienced dog trainer, Helen. When Sammy first arrived in his foster home, he struggled with severe anxiety and exhibited excessive barking, which made his daily life and interactions with people and other dogs challenging.
However, thanks to the patient support of his foster carers and the expertise of Helen, Sammy’s transformation has been nothing short of remarkable. Through consistent training, positive reinforcement, and a nurturing environment, Sammy has made significant strides in improving his behavior and confidence.
One of the most notable achievements is Sammy’s reduction in barking. His excessive vocalisation, which was once a major concern, has been largely replaced by a newfound sense of calm. Sammy’s enhanced confidence has allowed him to become more comfortable in various situations, including his daily walks.
With the continued support and love from his future forever family, Sammy is sure to thrive even further.
Sammy is now ready for adoption and is looking for a loving home that can provide him with the patience, care, and understanding he needs. If you’re interested in providing Sammy with the loving home he deserves, you will be welcoming a dog with an incredible capacity for growth and love.”
Adoption details
Not available for interstate adoption
We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are.
Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone’s needs are met things usually work out well.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
